Greetings, alien from Saturn! You have stepped in the online abode of Claire, which houses her mindless musings and lovely rantings.
You're obviously permitted to have a look around, but of course, itchy fingers aren't entertained - so don't take what's not yours. ;)

Getting Married?

Friday, July 17, 2009 @ 12:44 AM

I met up with Cindy, Aar, Ghis and Claire for dinner today. And one of our topics was about marriage.

Catching up with old friends, chatting about whether this person is still with that person... and Claire suddenly said that we're getting old. And we are. Oh shit we're turning 20 this year, and Cindy wants to have kids by 24. Latest by 26. And she's still single. Yeah, we laughed at her for quite a while.

I realised that a lot of my friends are planning to get married to their boyfriends/girlfriends now. Wow. I mean, when you're together with someone, sure, you think, yeah ok we'll get married EVENTUALLY right. (When it's serious!) But... NOW? When you're in university? Or they're planning to get married immediately after university. Holy crap.

How do you finance the wedding? How do you finance a place to live? Don't tell me you're going to stay with your parents or in-laws. That, I will NOT do. When I get married, it's a whole new chapter of my life, which I want to start anew.

So, I always assumed that I'd graduate, get a stable job... find (or already found :P ) the right person, settle down, and then maybe at 28 I'd get married? Pregnant soon after? (Ok, not sure about kids bit, I mean, I'd want kids EVENTUALLY but not so soon? Not sure)

What's the rush anyways!

Well, for all you know, a few months down the road, I'd have an entry completely contradicting myself because I'd be happily attached. WHO KNOWS!~

But for my friends who are planning marriage... good luck! And I will sing for your wedding! For free! Ok, as long as I get excuse not to pack such a thick ang pao. HAHA. KIDDING!~

Twisted Fate - Episode 3.

Saturday, July 11, 2009 @ 4:09 PM

Ian is furious. He runs off to find someone whose name starts with 'P' and ends with 'aris', while Elle just stands there in shock. She calls Kristen's cell immediately.

--------

Nate is at soccer training. After they finish, the guys go to the locker room to check their cell phones, wipe their sweat away and prepare to go home. How can guys still look great even when drenched in their own sweat? But they don't smell great, so we will still keep our distance.

Nate checks his cell and sees 4 messages and 6 missed calls from Kristen. "Oops." He forgot to tell someone that he had soccer practice today!

Why was she always getting on his nerves recently? Why is she so possessive? Wanting to know where he is all the time and everything.

He sighs and replies her text. "Soccer practice."

Then he switches off his phone.

As he walks out of the school, past the carpark, Megan taps him on the shoulder from behind and offers him a ride home. Which he accepts.

Uh-oh, N, better not play with fire!

------

Ian storms into Paris's room, and demands that she leave Elle alone. Paris tries to seduce him, but fails. He is about to walk out when she says...

P: "There is one way where you can save her you know?"
I: *Turns around*
P: "Get back together with me. And nothing bad will happen to her anymore. I promise."
I: *Contemplates*... "Ok... let's get back together."

------

Elle and Kristen are playing pool in the games room of their hall. Some friends invited them for drinks and to shoot some pool. A huge bottle of Absolut Vodka is on the floor next to the pool table. Everyone is having fun until a security guard walks in.

SG: *Sniffs the air* What's this? Someone has been drinking alcohol here. Is it you guys?
D: No, it wasn't us. We smell it too. We're just here playing pool. It must've been those people earlier who were throwing a birthday party. We just came here.
SG: *looks around, looks straight AT the bottle of vodka but doesn't recognise it* (maybe it's because it's transparent liquid, looks like water)
SG: Alright. Don't drink alcohol in halls, kids! *Walks out*

*Everyone bursts into laughter*

------

The pool mini-party is taken upstairs to one of the guy's rooms because they were afraid the security guard will return and they will not be so lucky this time. So it was actually Shane's birthday and Elle and Kristen lost in a drinking game so they had to do a forfeit.

Their forfeit was to each kiss Shane on each side of the cheek. And just as they were about to do that... someone shouts "HEY LOOK AT THIS" from outside the door, and as everyone's heads turned, Wilson kicks open the door and all you can see is his butt gleaming in the light, and he is bending over, so everyone can see what god-gave-him.

Kristen and Elle are scarred for life, give Shane a peck on the cheek each, and run back to their rooms.

They both had nightmares that night.

--------

Elle's parents tell her that she has to start working because she needs to learn the importance of money. They do not pay off her credit card bills and tell her to get a job. Gasp. Shock. Horror! What will Elle do now?

Elle calls some agencies, and manages to land a job at Starbucks, making coffee. She rushes there everyday after school, and skips her meals.

We see her drinking coffee to fill some space in her stomach, but how long can this girl last without food?

Oh! Just as we predicted.

Elle collapses in Starbucks.

Who asked you not to eat, little Elle? We warned you.

Sisters!!

Thursday, July 9, 2009 @ 12:25 PM

I have been too MIA, sorry about that. I did not abandon you blog, I merely just... have too crazy a schedule.

Giving tuition, meeting people for dinner, more tuition, clubbing, hanging out, blablah saps up a lot of your time! And I give tuition EVERYDAY!

But I went to Malaysia twice last week and bought like, total 5 pairs of heels/flats, a pair of shorts, a vest, a top and a gorgeous dress. Getting ready for the school term!

Cherlyn's birthday/farewell party is next week! I hope to make it a memorable one. HERE IS A PICTURE OF US. <3.I love you Cherlyn!! I guess we really were sisters in our past lives. Let me tell you what happened. (And, the picture is angled, nothing really happened, so please stop chetching...)

Cherlyn and I were supposed to meet up on the 8th of July to club. This was organized and decided and confirmed like, 3 weeks ago. We wanted a day where we could club together for the last time before she went to Mexico!

Thing is, she had tuition until 9.30pm at Boon Lay, and I had tuition until 9pm at AMK. (But mind dragged until 9.30pm anyways) and I was REALLY really tired. Tired until I was yawning every 5 minutes, muttering nonsense, etc.

So I texted her, aye where are you? On your way? And she was walking to the train station, and she said she was tired but doesn't mind clubbing! So I asked if she wanted to meet another day instead cos I was tired too. But she kept replying that her phone battery was dying.

My last message to her before her phone died was:

"Ok, so are we still meeting?"

Her last message was this:

"Saturday? Go home! Ok may not reply phone dying"

And then her phone died. So we never confirmed if we were still meeting or going home. Well, lets just say a very confused Claire still travelled to Orchard from AMK and waited at the control station in hope of seeing her.

At 10.30pm (before her phone died) she texted that she was at Redhill! So I figured, why not wait a while? I mean, what if she came and didn't see me here? That would suck. Plus, she'd know that I was already here (AMK is really near town, nearer than Boon Lay at least) so I'd arrive earlier.

So I was there, walking around, talking on the phone, when I see a friend from long-lost ago, ask him where he's going, blahblah, when suddenly I had an urge to turn around to see...

This pretty girl on the left! :D ( I think this is an AMAZING pic of you btw, you look damn good here)
We screamed until the people in Amsterdam could hear and we were so happy because neither of us knew if the other person would show up.

Moral of the story, charge your phone kids!! Especially when you're going to meet someone. Haha! And also, this goes to show how much we both trust each other!! <3.

Everyone loves Cherlyn! (Ok, honestly, I put this picture in because I was afraid a certain SOMEONE will complain that someone else's picture was in here but his wasn't. :P)
