The NationalCouncil Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) andCentral Narcotics Bureau (CNB) are organising an Anti-drug Online GamingChallenge on the ‘Life Does Not Rewind’ Facebook fanpage(facebook.com/lifedoesnotrewind) !

Their new game, ‘Escape from Drugs Land’runs from 30 Jan 2012 – 26 Feb 2012 and you can stand to win iPad2 32GB (1 winner) OR 1 pair of Sentosaadventure park combo package (16 winners)!

I think there’s a good chance that youmight be a lucky winner!

The theme for the games is

Life Does Not Rewind

For example, in Escape fromDrugs Land, the player begins his journey on a game board, where the dicedetermines the number of steps he can take each time. The player has tocomplete the board in the shortest time possible and his timing will beconverted into a score.

In line with the theme ‘LifeDoes Not Rewind’, all games do not have the ‘undo’ function such that theplayer cannot go back to the previous step and can only advance. In Escape fromDrugs Land, the player cannot move backwards on the game board.

You only have one life. No chances toturn back time (nobody has invented a time machine yet, and even if someone didit would alter the parallel universes and change the course of historyblahblah… so nobody wants that) don’t do something that you will spend the restof your life REGRETING.

With all the blogs sprouting up, it's becoming more and more difficult to decide which blogs to read right? Since blogs are all about being personal and unique I shall share more things about myself.

I learnt piano when I was really young but I stopped after a while because I... don't remember. But what I do remember is that the teacher kept hitting my hands with a ruler and giving me kit kat everytime I placed my fingers right. I think I stopped because I the percentage that I got hit was many times more than receiving kitkats. Hahah.

And so I am officially grade-less, never sat for a piano exam, and have been regretting ever since. I have a piano at home and I play it occasionally, when I just want to hear my emotions being played (yes there is a difference), whether it's anger or sadness. When I'm happy I rarely play the piano. I... sing.

Which brings me to the next part! Singing. I was in the school choir in secondary school. Considered joining choir in college but I think I didn't go for the auditions. (After first 3 months, I went for the audition in my first college during first 3 months and got in, but never joined). Our choir participated in international competitions in Sydney and Hawaii. Through these trips I found my love for travelling too!

I've always wanted to train up my vocal techniques but didn't have the $ to. Last year, I saw that Yamaha had some $5 singing trial lesson so I decided to go for it. And the teacher was so nice! But still unaffordable. Setting myself back $300 a month??? Considering property prices, I think I can just have a quiet wedding at a church or something, at this rate.

So... I started uploading SOME songs onto YouTube. But they aren't perfect or extremely good but at least I can listen to it and hear my crappy bits. And receive comments from others too!

And now I borrowed Jordan's microphone in the hope of recording more songs! When I was using a MacbookPro, using garageband was pretty easy to edit and add effects! But now I am back to a Windows, been less motivated. All I have is Audacity.

Since singing makes me happy I shall strive to make more videos in 2012!! :) And that's my new year's wish.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! It's the year of the dragon, the most powerful creature in the entire zodiac! And for references, I'm born in the year of the Snake. Ok now I can't hide my age anymore.

There's just something about Paris...

Paris is really a great place to visit especially when you're witha loved one! There's so much to do. I stayed 5 mins away from Champs-Élysées ! Turn into the lane just nextto the Louis Vuitton store. Life was blissful.

It was my first time to Paris too! Soeverything was completely new and foreign to me. We flew over from Milan to Paris and took a train down to get to our hotel.

My friend and I were given the room 404 (or was it 444? Can't remember) but we had a bad feeling about the room number. My other friends were in the next room 405 (or was it 445?) I think it was 405. Haha. The first night, my friend and I kept waking up, tossing and turning but we didn't hear/see anything. The freaky thing was that we woke up at the same time. I knew because when I opened my eyes to turn, I saw her turning at the same time too.

The next day I swopped rooms with the other friends, who slept with the TV on but also kept waking up.

We're just glad we didn't see/hear anything seriously.

The room was pretty small and simple but we just used it as a place to sleep in so it was fine. I considered posting a picture of the room but... it's just a room wasn't fantastically decorated or something. Haha. I shall post this picture instead.

Arc de Triomphe. Do NOT attempt to cross this road. It's one of the busiest (and dangerous) roads in the world. 4 lanes of turning or something. There's an underpass that leads you there. You can pay $ to reach the top but... I felt that since I was going to Eiffiel I don't really need to see this view haha.

I took a really long time to pronounce Champs Elysees correctly! Let me try and type out the pronunciation so that you guys can say it accurately the next time!

The Studio Cocktail Bar.

Recently there's been a few cocktail bars springing up and each have their own unique concepts that entice different crowds. The Studio is a laid back, sofa lounge hangout, great for chilling with friends or celebrating birthdays!

Something I found interesting about this bar is that you can request to mix your own drinks! For DIY Cocktails, it will cost $20 as compared to the usual $16. DIYcustomers will also be given a card that shows the concoctions of the cocktails for you to bring home!

This place was set up by a young woman, Angelina who's only 23!! A pretty one too! Respect! :)

Roommate. I really liked this one because it was sweet and easy to drink. Strawberry and cheese!

The Apartment. I would've liked to try this!! Tiramisu and I go well together :) I will definitely head back to have a taste!

The Gardener. Moonberry likes it but it's a bit too grassy ish for my liking due to the Basil. Still good though! Plus I'm not a fan on Gin too! That's just me though.

The Landlord. Another drink I would love to try. Looks dangerous but savory. A Bacardi blend!

The Studio can fit up to 50 pax seated OR 80 pax standing. To hold a private party, there is a minimum order of $400 for weekdays and $700 for weekends and public holidays. There are special prices for bottles during events as well.

Contraband Movie!

Was supposed to watch Contraband this week but I couldn't leave work... zzz. We were rushing a deadline which is today. Apparently we overworked ourselves because we are kind of free now. Hahah. Which is all good!

The movie is about a man who tries to protect his brother-in-law after the latter screws up a smuggling job. Set in New Orleans, the film exploresthe cutthroat underground world of international smuggling—full of desperatecriminals and corrupt officials, high-stakes and big payoffs—where loyaltyrarely exists and death is one wrong turn away.

BALTASAR KORMÁKUR (Directed by/Producedby) is currently one of the most important film directors tocome out of Scandanavia. Kormákur has mainly worked asa film director/producer through his company, Blueeyes Productions, even thoughhe has also established himself as an important director of stageplays. His background as an actor (he graduated from the IcelandAcademy of the Arts in 1990) and director at the National Theatre of Icelandhas left him with a soft spot for the theater.

What I did this week! While I'm not working of course.

Tried the XLB at Paradise Dynasty! I hate the Sze Chuan one it's spicy and it's horrible. I spat it out. I like the Foie Gras one the best. The Black Truffle was an interesting flavor. Took this photo above so you can look at the flavors. There's a certain arrangement you're supposed to eat it in... and I honestly don't think there's a difference so just eat whatever. You could barely taste the cheese in the cheesy one.

Ok honestly this wasn't fantastic. I didn't finish my food. The egg was good though.

Went to Zouk and decided to od a breath test. I'm Last Man Standing even though I had a few drinks woo!

Had weird flavor vodka!! Spiced coffee and almond flavoured! Tasted really awful with coke (IMO) but nicer with sprite. Took this at the BBQ dinner with bloggers!

Have you been to ChangiCity Point yet? It's like a mall with quite a few shops and outlets. But I heard that even though it's an outlet mall their items are still expensive. Haiz.

Since I've been working til about 11pm everyday I get to eat dinner out! This is Changi City Point at night. Quite nice huh!

There's an Ootoya restaurant at Changi City point and I had an equivalent of a Teriyaki Chicken. Was quite alright nothing spectacular, pretty ordinary. I want to try the blue fin tuna next.

There's also this Seafood Marinara type that I had which wasn't really good and I think the clams weren't entirely fresh, I had an upset stomach for a while.

I did, however find an awesome ramen place called Keisuke! It's at Millenia walk, on the top floor of Parco Bugis. Try their crab stock pork ramen. The soup is quite shiok! Costs $15.80 or so and you get free bean sprouts hahah.

Queue can be quite long as the area is small. Head there early! I have no pictures of the food because I gulped down everything really quickly. :) Wish the meat slices were bigger though, but isn't that the case everywhere? Hahah.

Gosh I've started working life for real. Working from like 8.30am til 10pm? This will probably happen until May. I already feel a bit poorly. Throat a little scratchy and nose a little wonky. Been taking vitamins, now I just have to spam more fruits.

Sorry blog I didn't mean to neglect you! Anyway last Saturday I was at Zouk for a bit to celebrate Brenda's birthday and there was this cute machine outside that measures how much alcohol is in your breath.

Before this picture was taken, I had evidently drank a little (look at pink face), about 2-4 shots of whisky+mixer? Not a lot. And...

I managed to get 'Last Man Standing'! Which means I am sober enough to drive myself home if I had driven. Hahaha pretty awesome right. Pink yet can drive.

I also won a Starbucks card! Not sure how much money is inside it but it's a prize nonetheless. Going to do some survey so that I can get a H&M Voucher too. Yes I am auntie that way.

I have too many vouchers seriously. Going to use my Ma Maison one this week :)

Unexpected spontaneity!

A day that started out to be a solitary one but ended up meeting many people :)

Left the house for an appointment at cineleisure (was a little late) and collected my bags that I sent for cleaning at The Bag Spa (Lucky Plaza) they stained the LV so after some small 'discussion' I allowed them to re-clean it again. Don't go to them man seriously not worth the money. All they did was polish. That's it. Headed over to Ion to meet my brother with his japanese friends for tea at Coffee Bean.

After that I took the train down to Outram to.. COLLECT MY NEW PHONE!! HTC Sensation XE!! White!! Omg I love it to bits already. Just got to get a handphone cover and it'll be my new baby!! <3. Thank you so much HTC!!

Last minute met up with a friend for an ice chocolate at a hidden cafe called The Plain, located on 50 Craig Road (yes now memorized) which took me forever to find. Didn't help that I was in heels. Meh. Wish I could've stayed longer but I had to go to City Hall to collect my medical card from a colleague!

Decided to go to Peninsular Plaza to buy a birthday present, and then to Peninsular Shopping Centre across the mini road to check out Ukeleles. I actually have one but I lent it to a friend and to date I am still waiting to get it back. 80USD. But the strings weren't very good so... hmm. I liked the sound that the Maestro concerto, but it was $156!! The tenor was like $180 or something. What made it soo depressing was that there was a sale TWO WEEKS AGO. Emo. I left the store empty handed and with a heavy heart. I hope that my cousins will get bored of their ukeleles and I can thus borrow it.

As we were walking back to Raffles City Shopping Centre, a friend called my name and I turned around in surprise! We talked all the way to Suntec City, where I was recommended to a new Ramen place called Keisuke Tokyo.

Wah it's super yums. J had the crab stock pork ramen (ok that's not the official name, about $15) and I had the normal Tonkatsu ramen (about $13) and the stock was just yum!! I normally don't drink the soup because of it's unhealthy nature but I had about 4 spoonfuls!! The meat was tender but kind of small, the egg was really tasty but the stock was just... woah.

Didn't help that the beansprouts and the onions were on every table so you could take as much as you wanted!!

Had the gyoza too but it wasn't anything extraordinary.

Drove back home to see an accident somewhere near lentor, luckily no one was hurt. And I ran to charge my new phone. Going to download a thousand apps on it and start transferring contact numbers!!

Ok I know it's 2012 already but I just had to share this event with you guys that I attended a week or so ago! (cut me some slack ok I AM a working girl!!)

Attended this event with Christine, Jordan and brought along my blogger friends Joey, Hong Peng, Angie and Michelle! :)

The PUMA Social ‘Hall of the Infamous’ finale held at Home Club saw challenges like a race to drink the fastest pint of beer in the fastest record time by the Shot Downer finalists, while the other finalists pitted their skills in foosball, ping pong and bullseye social games.

The campaign honored the new generation of social athletes and inducted the top 12 winners into PUMA Social’s ‘Hall of the Infamous’ who best represents the social titles as determined via public nominations and voting, to front the 2012 PUMA Social Diary.

The prize package for each of the winners include $100 PUMA voucher, photoshoot for 2012 PUMA Social Diary, a bottle Absolute Vodka, PUMA watch and passes to 4 major zouk parties; whilst runner ups were presented consolation prizes of $50 PUMA vouchers each. I wish I had these prizes!! So awesome!!

Caught Sherlock Holmes today!! I missed the first installment but was really satisfied after I watched this!!

Here's a brief synopsis!
Sherlock Holmes returns to the theatres with his greatest adventure against his greatest enemy; Professor Moriarty. Robert Downey Jr. returns with his mercurial portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, with Jude Law as the perfect Dr. Watson.

On the backdrop of Dr. Watson’s marital bliss, Holmes finds himself trying to take on the devious Moriarty in the greatest challenge to his detective skills yet.

There is much action in the movie for the action fans, glorious gun battles and cannons firing will keep the boys happy. Stephen Fry delights with his role as Holmes’ brother, and expect the unexpected.

I loved the special effects and how they slowed time to emphasize on important bullets, gunshots, action series, EVERYTHING! Music was fantastic

"I timed it perfectly!" Hahaha.

Not to mention, Jude Law is a PERFECT Dr Watson. He has this innocence and naivety that Sherlock doesn't have. Please catch the movie if you have the time! Kept me on my toes all the way! Thoroughly entertained.

2011 in a Nutshell.

It's the end of the year! I shall summarize my year... because it's easier to look back on the past and see how much events have changed me :D

January:

Preparing for a new 2011! Had school but it was pretty slack.Wanted to take a singing module (which also meant I would have overloaded an extra elective) but due to complications, I couldn't! Super glad I took Basic Japanese instead so now I have super bare minimum conversational Japanese. Haha.

Feb:

Still slacking. I wanted to take it easy since it was my final semester. Haha. My grades eventually reflected the amount of effort I put in zzz.

March:

Sudden surge of projects, hell week's usual toil, meeting up at Raffles City Shopping Centre Starbucks to do projects, looking forward to my graduation trip! My first duet performance!

April:

Studying and cramming for exams!

May:

End of exams in university!! Went to Italy, Paris, Amsterdam. Had the best pasta I've ever tasted, the cheapest wine, the coldest I've ever felt (imagine top of Eiffiel in just a top, leggings, shoes and ONE jacket), found my favourite place in the world, had some creamy vanilla ice cream for like 70 eurocents, sat on a gondola, owned my first Chanel, Disneyland Paris for 2 days, SO MANY FIRSTS! :)

June:

Still continuing my holiday! Went to London, Windsor and Bath. Fell in love with Four Season's Duck Rice. Shopped like crazy, walked a hell lot, watched Love Never Dies, Les Miserables, made new friends!

July:

Attended more blogger events since I finally had more time, put up more pictures on my blog entries, because that's what people like to see right? Haha. Convocation, official graduation day! Woohoo!

Aug:

Started part time work to support my incessant spending habits. Also went to Japan!! On a sponsored trip as a Tohoku Ambassador!! Had the best, pampered treatment there, went to onsens, had lots of sashimi, ate some sea urchin egg miso soup which was SO GOOD. Visited the site where the Tsunami struck and volunteered there for a few hours!

Sept:

Headed to London for a few days before that and fell in love with red velvet cupcakes. Attended family reunion in Germany! Was so interesting living in home stays, have super cute cousins, drank beer for almost every meal. I still haven't finished uploading all the pictures yet. Legoland in Windsor! Natsumatsuri!

Oct:

Had a German birthday! Spent it in Berlin, and SAW BRUNO MARS. I kid you not. Photos don't do him justice and mine came out really blur but I have proof okay. First time being chat up on the plane hohoho.

Nov:

Had a month to do whatever I wanted so.. of course I went all out! AFA, Elizabeth Arden, so much fun! Convocation ball, where people dress up and take a million pics. Attended my first flashmob! Haagen Dazs rooftop lightup! Singapore Radio Awards! Permed my hair!

Dec:

First Zoukout thanks to HTC! Witnessed the eclipse. Cosycot bash where Cheryl and I squealed over 6 packs. Yum. Officially started work, found new bff (where have you been all my life?!), went to Mink and Filter.

Since I've had SUCH an eventful year, you'd think that my expectations for the coming year would be high too? I've never travelled so much in such a short time, and flights are really terrible/uncomfortable.

2012 promises LESS travelling but that doesn't mean NO travelling! Perhaps I'll check out Australia with Shu, maybe Shanghai too, but I am also keen on heading to Japan to visit my brother in Hiroshima, head to Kyoto, Hokkaido maybe? Who knows?? Maybe a weekend trip to Bali?

One thing's for certain though, I'll definitely keep on blogging. Hope it will be regular, will try to balance work and blog life and I'll do my best! :)

Sights around Singapore!

So as you know I've been working, and I take Friday nights VERY seriously. I try to go out, have a drink or two, walk around, savouring the sights and sounds of a not so busy Singapore. That's why I try to avoid crowds and shopping on weekends.

Every one's been talking about the new hype movie, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, starring Tom Cruise (where has he been recently anyway?) I don't remember catching any of the previous installments in theatres... perhaps I was too busy studying or doing geeky things then.

Here's the official synopsis!

Blamed for the terrorist bombing of the Kremlin, IMF operative Ethan Hunt is disavowed along with the rest of the agency when the President initiates "Ghost Protocol". Left without any resources or backup, Ethan must find a way to clear his agency's name and prevent another attack. To complicate matters further, Ethan is forced to embark on this mission with a team of fellow IMF fugitives whose personal motives he does not fully know.

Remember that catchy tune from Mission Impossible? Yes imagine that stuck in my head now. Expect lots of action, suspense and special effects! The soundtrack is pretty awesome, composed by Michael Giacchino who also composed for movies like The Incredibles!

And who doesn't love big budget production movies??

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! It's been a tiring 3 weeks of work so I apologise for the lack of updates! May this Christmas season bring you joy, happiness, love and warmth!!

Miracles may just happen this Christmas (eg, for a friend her ex called her and they started talking) or that cousin that always says nasty things to you decided to be nice for once, or you get surprises under the Christmas tree!

If your family doesn't celebrate it, you could start the whole tradition up this year! Give without expecting to receive and watch your family's faces light up when they see your present that you took so much effort to pick for them :)

I received a philosophical book that I'm wondering HOW I'm going to start reading it (totally not my thing) but since Christine thinks it shall help in my worldly learning, I will attempt it soon hahah.

Felt like I was in Bali this Christmas, went to Shu's house and wish I swam! Perhaps next time. Heehee. Had a great time nonetheless and SOO touched Michelle came all the way down just to pass me a gift! Here's to friendship! Wooohooo!

Watched The Muppets and it was soooo good!! I shan't put any spoilers but please go catch it if you haven't!! I like the slapstick humour, the unpredictable random scenes, sudden burst into song etc. It's rated 97% on Rotten Tomatoes (as of today).

Jason Hegal did a really good job bringing out the whole soul of THE MUPPETS. Everything I remember and love, can be found there. It's Muppets Magic! If you didn't find it funny, I... fear for the human race.

Wanted to share the new contact lens I'm using! It's Bausch+Lomb PureVision2 HD monthly lenses!

Zoukout 2011: The HTC Experience!

I've heard SO MUCH about Zoukout, but had never experienced it before. I knew it was partying on a beach, so I just expected a huge stage and like thousands of people crowding around it, music blasting, bodies entwining, sweaty skin etc.

This year, thanks to HTC, I've been able to check it out firsthand! With a trusty HTC Sensation XE. The below photos are ALL TAKEN using it (and their awesome camera apps) and I am convinced that it's wayyy better than my current phone (crappy Motorola)

So when you walk in the entrance, get some lanyards and your zoukout tag, this is what you see! Feels pretty tribal already. The tent in the middle is the Singtel one, which has some free drinks or something, was quite crowded, couldn't be bothered to go in.

Obviously I walked on and the next booth was HTC!

See the long queue over at the right? I joined it. Haha.

Was treated to a HTC shot! Melon and Irish Cream Liqueur! It was pretty tough drinking it half half (it's separated) so I ended up drinking all the melon first then the irish cream. The first being more potent. Oh well it was yummy!!

You can also take pictures at the HTC booth!! They had really cute items you could use like sunglasses, speech bubbles for you to jazz up your picture!

First week of work, OVER!

Woah I couldn't remember when I last woke up at 645am, before the sky lit up. But I survived it! This is gonna be a quick entry to just sum up my week!

Will also include pictures of pretty girls so I can bribe you to continue reading. Haha!

Meeting my colleagues has been great! They're all young and bubbly and interesting! Glad we all get along well. I do not like lugging the laptops around though. For they are so heavy! Even in my uni days I printed all my notes out to avoid this additional weight (that might stunt my growth).

Being careful and meticulous now becomes an essential trait. No room for error! Only space for professional judgment and thinking, to which I must master.

Received my staff pass today! It's official, I have become a part of the team!

Made new BFF and other new friends yay!! :)

I also FINALLY managed to get a copy of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It reminded me so much of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen! But far more depressing. I cried and laughed along with the persona, but didn't understand the french and skipped some of the biblical proses hahaha.

Will be blogging this week about Zoukout and about The Muppets! I caught it and it was really good! If you haven't caught it in theatres yet, you should! Haha.

Also watched New Year's Eve yesterday. I recommend watching it AFTER Christmas because now I don't feel like I have any Christmas spirit at all. I shall try to watch Arthur Christmas or something haha! I also didn't like the pairing of couples, was quite grossed out at some. Reminded me of Love Actually, though I find the latter WAYY better. If you get emotional in theatres, make sure you sit with someone who will wipe your tears for you ok!

Finally, I've been playing with the HTC Sensation XE the past week and it's SO MUCH BETTER than my phone please?? Can't wait to tell you all about it!

And the photos in this blog post were taken at Nuffnang's Rooftop Party! (Which wasn't rooftop in the end due to the drizzle) and I was late because I had something on before that + I also walked the wrong way at the train station (some dust from a construction site blinded me too) and these pretty girls are, Gen, Cheryl and Cher! :) GCube! Jean Yip SuperShine Perming!

I have never dyed my hair, rebonded it, permed it, only plainly cut it or temporary curled it! But decided that since I was to start work, I wanted something different to signify a new chapter in my life. Thank you so much to Nuffnang and Jean Yip for this amazing opportunity!!

Normal, virgin hair.

My hair is naturally pretty straight so I didn't want to rebond it, so I chose to do a digital perm instead. Are you ready to find out my experience?? Haha. I don't look radically different because I didn't want to do bangs (don't think I can get used to the face back in the mirror)

Appointment was made with Jean Yip's Sengkang branch! And my stylist was Johnny. He's really good, professional and a perfectionist when it comes to hair! Always a plus :) Here he's analysing my hair ahaha.

After washing my hair and cutting it! Look more japanese right? My hair is quite thick at the back so it was thinned and layered :)

Following this, they applied something on my hair and put my head through this heating thing, apparently it was to break the bonds in my hair and make it all stretchy. Since my hair wasn't subjected to previous chemicals, I was put under the machine for 45 mins! Poor hair :(

It was washed off and then we began preparing for the curls!

Blow drying my hair took really long because my hair is really straight!

Styling!

With stylist Johnny :) I really really LOVE my hair! I think it's a really elegant, classy look but not too overboard. Hope my hair manages to stay like this for at least 3 months :(

Finished product! I don't think I will be dying my hair soon though. Maybe in a few years when I get more white hair or something.

This whole thing took like... 6 hours? Including 3 toilet breaks, snack breaks, and because my hair was completely chemical free, a lot of the processes had to be longer than usual.

BUT I REALLY REALLY LOVE IT. It's totally worth the time and effort which I really appreciate because the first thing you look at someone is their face right? And your hair frames your face. So your hair is very important PLEASE TAKE CARE OF IT!

If it's dry please moisturize it, use hair products, your hair CAN BE SAVED!

I was also given hair masks to use after my conditioner for the next few weeks AND a curl activator!! Will post pictures of it after I take photos of them heehee.

Singapore Radio Awards 2011!

This November was super surreal. Never in a million years thought that I would be invited to attend the Singapore Radio Awards! Thanks Nuffnang! Photos aren't the clearest because... I don't have a DSLR *sobs*

It was also being broadcasted LIVE on national television!! This part of the show made me LOL because it reminds us of the maid that was carrying her mam's son's bag. That was spoofed by The Noose too!

What you actually didn't get to see is that... when the show goes for a commercial break, the camera and lighting and backstage crew scurry to set up the next segment, position new items, and it's tough work! I know I always watch tv and complain about advertisements, but now I understand that if it's any shorter it'll be tough for these guys!

Doesn't apply for dramas though. Grr. Hahah.

The sound also had some problems at an early point in the show! Not sure if viewers at home were affected.

After the event we were invited to the reception for some food. WE WERE STARVING!! Had to rush over and I had no dinner!!

Met Cheryl at the Doggystyle Cafe last week! Took a few photos of the cute doggies. I love the doggystyle cafe because it's a great concept to meet other fellow dog owners and for the dogs to roam free to sniff other dogs! :)

So cute right!! Sigh hope to bring Megan (beagle) there one day. She'll go crazy though. Need to discipline her first.

SMRT: Lunch with LadyironChef!

Last week, I was one of the lucky few to have "Lunch with Ladyironchef!" Super huge privilege can??

The group of us met at Botanic Gardens train station and I must say I am VERY IMPRESSED AND SURPRISED. THE RIDE FROM BISHAN WAS SO NEAR!!! Like 8 mins or something? Which is like super awesome because now I can go to Serene Centre or meet up with my friends SO MUCH FASTER!! My total travelling time has been reduced from 45mins to an hour depending on the traffic to just 30 mins!!

I was still in a sleepy daze when I met Brad that our conversation went like this.

Me: Brad. *shakes hand* Claire right?
Brad: *confused*
Me: OOPS.

I introduced myself as Brad sheesh.

We ate at this Swiss Bakery. Go check it out it's yums!!

This week was so awesome I barely had time to tweet or blog. So sorry! I managed to catch two EPIC movies and now I'm going to share one with you!

"Magic to Win"

is directed by WilsonYip (叶伟信), produced by Raymond Wong (黄百鸣).The movie stars Raymond Wong (黄百鸣), Wu Chun(吴尊),Louis Koo (古天乐), Wu Jing (吴京), Karena Ng (吴千语) & Yan Ni (闫妮). Based on the famous “HappyGhost” Chinese series to building on the highly successful “Happy Ghost”franchise, “Magic to Win” revolves around a girl who inherits superpowersfrom her father. She finds life drastically different when she starts to use herunique powers to enjoy the daily convenience and to excel in sports. This Happy Ghost series (that I don't recall watching) ran for five films from 1984 to 1991. That's why I don't remember it! It's because I hadn't been born yet or was only 2 years old in my own baby talk world. But I asked my mum and my tuition kid's mum and THEY REMEMBER!! :O I'm sure it was really popular and successful and they all recognised Raymond Wong!!

Went for AFA 2011 a week or two ago but have been soo busy with the other entries that I haven't found time to write about it! :)

Advice is, to go early because it's SUPER crowded. Almost like the IT show crowded. And I really don't like crowds where everyone can barely move forward, you can smell other people's body odour, etc. So GO EARLY.

Prevage: Day and Night cream with Idemenone!

If you had a chance to have perfect skin, would you take it? I know I would.

During the day, our skin is being attacked by environmental radicals: Sun, smoke, pollution and dryness (yes even in humid Singapore!) It needs moisture and protection. That's why we have our 3 steps - Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize!

But it's not enough. Our moisturizer is not strong enough to protect us from these environment factors. Once the skin is dehydrated it can lead to lines, spots, discolorations and.. *shock* WRINKLES.

Many people have heard of the NTU Legend. The... "Jiao wo huang di" joke. (Call me Emperor) This entry is to prove that it is TRUE.

Friend's good friend was the one who heard it (and evidently spread it). It has been 5 years already.

Let me enlighten those who have no idea what I'm talking about!

Rumour had it (it's a had because it's true), that there was a PRC doing another PRC in their hall room, and it was overheard that he had asked her to..

"Jiao wo huang di".

The first time he heard it, she was like huh? But he persisted.

And she said it.

He then asked her to repeat it again but louder this time.

So the people who were outside the room listening in to every word shouted "HUANG DI!" And ran off.

True story kids! Hall 1, the block nearest to the bus stop (if you know the block number let me know and I will update this entry!)

The Muppets Movie 2011!

I LOVE THE MUPPETS.

Grew up watching them, loving every episode, watching Muppets Treasure Island EVERYTHING.

Watched their videos on Youtube and their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody was sooo epic and awesome I have watched it many many times!!

Many people like Kermit or Miss Piggy but my favourite characters are Statler and Waldorf. They appear in every episode and have funny one liners or a short conversation with each other creating jokes and laughing among themselves! How to not love them?!?

I also love the swedish chef who comes up with innovative ways to cook hahaha. The chocolate moose was funny! He started applying chocolate all over a moose :P Animal is cute in his own way too. Aah I love the muppets!! The muppets make me relive my childhood all over again!!

Marina Bay Sands Skypark!

Last week, I went to the Marina Bay Sands Skypark with my relatives and my cousin who flew over from Germany! Was my first time there and it was fun spotting different buildings and cars looked like toy cards instead.

Cousin claims that you can see the whole of Singapore from the top! He then proceeded to point out his house at Serangoon Gardens.

This is the view from the ground of course haha.

I wanted to take more photos but.. MY CAMERA RAN OUT OF BATTERY! I saw the Avatar looking area that the goverment was in the midst of building. Really looks like Avatar.

Last shot before my battery died. It's $20 bucks to head up, BUT if you say you're heading to Ku de Ta, you can go up for free! But of course you have to get drinks there and I think it's $25++ or something. Why not hmm?

Michelle Chong's Meet & Greet at Watsons!

So two days ago I was at Starbucks 313 with Michelle and I read Michelle Chong's tweet about her making an appearance at Watsons at Taka.

Since it was so near and I had nothing to do at 313 anyway, I decided to walk over!

Through this meeting, I found out that I am totally surprised by fans (THEY REALLY KNOW EVERYTHING, and I know NOTHING so basically I didn't win any gala tickets. Darn)

Michelle is nice and friendly! And both her english and mandarin are PRO. I need to be more like her. Hi Y and Z please practice more mandarin with me thanks.

They were asking really difficult questions (how am I to know when the fan autograph session is?? Or who cameo'd as himself or herself?? Sigh.

I was honestly just waiting for the moment when they'd ask "CAN ANYONE DO AN ACCENT FOR US? WILL GIVE YOU A PRIZE." And then it'll be my turn to shine.

UPdate on my life for my friends and everyone reading this! I graduated from uni in July and was supposed to start work in September but I changed it to December so that I could attend my family gathering in Germany. It wasn't a pure holiday!

So I have this November off to get myself in shape and tip top condition for the gruelling months to come. It's been pretty great so far (November), attending events and everything, haven't gotten much opportunities to catch up with my friends because they are working on weekends (?!?!)

Liking spontaneity is not exactly a good thing hahaha. Eg, "Eh are you in school? I'm in your school now." Or, "I'm at Raffles Place! Wanna lunch?" 10 minutes before lunch hour is not a good idea.

I know I'm always going on about, creating your own opportunities, that no one else can change your life except yourself. AND I STILL BELIEVE IN IT.

Nobody is going to offer you something you want FOR FREE. You have to work for it or at least open the door yourself.

So that's what I'm doing this November! And if it comes, it comes. Good karma comes to those who DESERVE it.

I'm wondering if I should do an interview segment on my blog where I interview senior women in their field. Would any one be interested in that apart from me? Hahaha.

Cinque Terre... Floods.

":The worst affected region was Liguria, with at least two of the five World Heritage-listed 'Cinque Terre' coastal villages cut off as a result of roads being washed away.

The walking trails and picturesque fishing villages of the Cinque Terre attract hundreds of thousands of international tourists, but two of them – Vernazza and Monterosso – were severely affected as rivers of mud poured down from the hills behind them.

The mayor of Monterosso said the fishing village had all but been wiped out.

"Monterosso no longer exists," Angelo Betta told an Italian news agency.

Huge amounts of mud had swept through the tiny settlement, causing an "unimaginable disaster".

Last week I attended Delcie's Media Launch!

Finally met the pretty Jayne! :) I've always liked the spelling Jayne because it's unique. Like Jane with a twist. Lol?

Have you ever felt bad for anyone who was not able to enjoy the cake at the party due to his/her strict diet?
Trying to lose weight? Diabetic? Allergic to certain ingredients in cakes?

Brunch at Spruce!

I am so proud that I woke up early just for brunch (I can't even wake up early for breakfast so that's definitely out).

And finally went to Spruce! It's recommended that you drive there because it's at Tanglin, and they have free parking! Heehee.

I really recommend getting the sets (on the top left of the menu) they're only 18 bucks and my portion is wayyy bigger than my friend's, notice the beef sausage, mushrooms, potato and 2 poached eggs, compared to my friend's miserable meat and waffle for 15. Plus you can add sparkling wine for an additional price!

The food is good and so is the service. Plus it's cheaper than wild honey and free parking. What's not to like?? Will definitely be back again :D

I kinda bumped into the website nuffnang.com and decided to sign up as a blogger, for fun. I've been roaming the internet spaces alone for far too long! Perhaps there would be more people who share my passion, I thought.

Feb 2011.
A while later, I received an invitation to join Glitterati Plus! They were having a launch event and I was so thrilled that I could make it on that day!

I expected bloggers to be 20-28 years old but I was pleasantly surprised!! They all looked SO YOUNG!! Went with Kevin and we felt really old.

The first people we spoke to were, Mirai, Angie and Joey! AND the most awesome thing about this is that we are still keeping in contact!

Remember this picture? :) Joey isn't in this though! I think she left or went to talk to her friend or something! (I look so young... compared to now hahaha)

Then we had to be split into groups and that's when I first spoke to...

Valerie, Cheryl, Genevieve and Qiuting!! And we WON the game!! :D

I must say that Qiuting has a really bubbly and friendly personality that made me feel less awkward and made me open up a bit more! (Yes I DO get shy around strangers haha) and we won a $10 Starbucks voucher which I have not used til this day. I know where it is though!!

After the event I was introduced to Hong Peng, our president!! WHO IS REALLY NICE and popular. I really didn't expect this warmth. I already felt like part of the family!

Went for a 2 hour colours workshop by Jill Lowe International! :) And have become a Jill Lowe fan!
Our trainer for the day was Gwen, who has really good colour sense, and taught us how important it is to dress in the right colours for the right occasion.

I took photos of these because they are my colours :X If you're an autumn girl then these are your colours too!

I was chosen to be one of the lab rats... hahaha jk. Gwen putting this gorgeous golden brown lipstick on me that made me look more radiant. No kidding. I'm going to buy that lipstick, I swear, on my next trip down.

Few weeks ago I was invited down to Naomi Hotel to attend Singtel's mioTV US TV Marathon!

I was REALLY excited because I am a crazy drama addict. YEs I am one of those auntie's that sit in front of the laptop (not TV though lol) and watch episode after episode of my favourite shows. And I follow them EVERY WEEK. Here's the list of American shows I'm watching now. Anyone who watches any of these and would love to discuss the episodes with someone, CONTACT ME!! I was so excited. And evidently, after this event, I have become hooked to 3 new dramas - 2 Broke Girls, Once Upon a Time and Revenge. More on the shows in a bit!

Was my first time at Naomi Hotel. I've heard a lot about it, and it has garnered lots of positive reviews! Boutique hotels are nice.

Waited a while for the other bloggers to arrive before we headed up to our OWN HOTEL ROOM (sweet!!)

Singtel is sooo nice! We were expecting snacks (in the email) so we thought like Popcorn, Nachos but this really takes the cake!

A quick entry before I head off to bed! Had a reallyyyy long weekend so far.

Thursday I went for the opening of Delcie's dessert and cake, and after that I went for Elizaben Arden's cosy get together! It was a last minute thing so I wasn't dressed up in the correct colours. There's going to be a contest coming up so continue reading!! :) Plus I had flu so I was sniffly and my voice was all nasal and one ear was blocked. But I did have yummy beef noodles with Z and the other bloggers!

Can't wait to blog about all these events, I have sooo many pictures to upload aaah!! Hopefully I will get some done tomorrow!

And today was just fab. I actually WOKE UP EARLY for BRUNCH! This is actually my first official brunch. No, meeting your friends for McDonald's breakfast before another outing isn't counted as brunch! I'm really happy about it. Tried Spruce and the food is great! It's quite a distance from my place though but luckily Y drove. (Lol, Y & Z)

After that I visited MBS's sky deck! For $20 it was not really worth in the day IMO because as a Singaporean (who has also been to top of UOB or is it OUB, confused always) we've already seen most of the landmarks! Think tourists should check it out instead. Or just say you're going to Ku te Da and get a drink + free view. It all adds up to about the same anyway.

Also had my fill of Silver Moon tea at TWG! I love Silver Moon tea!! Try it. It's light and fragrant. I also had the raspberry... cake. Which was quite yums too.

Had to rush to Clarke Quay for Kirin Ichiban Beer Launch! The beer came in super cute cans and we were served sushi! Wish I could've stayed longer but my eye was all red and hurting (think some make up got into my eye, very unpleasant) and because of that I was late for the movie.

What movie?!?! Only like, one of the best Musicals IN THE WORLD. Phantom of the Opera was celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary by staging an AMAZING rendition of Phantom, and then filming it so that the rest of the world could enjoy.

I came out teary eyed and wanting to sing all the songs of phantom but my stupid flu was making my throat all phlegmy and my voice wasn't coming out right. Didn't want to risk it. URGHHHH.

When I get well I will sing ok. Whoever wants to hear please let me know, I will sing louder. LOL.

Came home and just watched the latest episode of Revenge. IT IS SO AWESOME. Yes, I know I owe pictures from the Singtel MioTV Launch but please go watch revenge I think it's creeping up to be one of the best drama's I've watched. Like ever.

So many questions that I want the scriptwriters to answer!!! It really keeps you on your toes!! :)

Eep it's already 2am. Wonder what Sunday and Monday has in store for me.

Freaky classroom dream.

Had a nightmare amidst all my crappy dreams last night, and now I'm sick. Not sick in the head but flu-ey. Coupled with everything in my mind, well, life could be better.

Anyway just wanted to jot down random things I remember about my dream because I think it's my first ghostly one.

Can't remember the beginning but I was in a classroom with other students... and the teacher was projecting something on the screen, when suddenly the teacher goes "We're not alone."(cliche right?)

A chill passes, before we notice that there is a shadow of a person on the screen that's projecting the image.

To that, I freak out (wow i freak out even in my dreams)

Then my teacher continues talking and even comments that there are more in the room. After some time, the teacher calls on me to give my thoughts on some subject.

I stand up and begin talking. Within 5 seconds I feel something choking my neck and I can't breathe. My teacher (whoever she is) asks the person (or thing) to stop and it does.

Surprisingly, I did not freak out when this happened =\

We ask the... things to leave us alone and not to disturb us but they still remain in the classroom, listening.

----

I can't remember what happens afterwards anymore... I think I woke up and went back to sleep... but the dream continued. Something about climbing up some ladder..

Can't remember. Anyway I don't watch any horror shows, can't even listen to any horror stories so... I don't even know where this dream came from. Don't try to analyze it please, I don't even want to know what it signifies in my life.

The Mayonnaise Jar

Christine sent me this email today! :) So sweet. Decided to share it with all of you.

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class
And had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions -
Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,
'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So... Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

Welcome to Milano Centrale!

Was so excited to visit the Fashion Capital of ITALY!

DO you know that there is an area in Milan where students go to eat because it's a buffet dinner for like 8 euros or something? The food isn't the best, doesn't taste the freshest but it's edible! And it's affordable.

So on the first night that's where we went!

Oh also forgot to include something important. IT INCLUDES ONE FREE ALCOHOLIC DRINK. Yes how worth it is that?!

Stained glass is always so pretty but it's soo hard to capture every detail unless you have a DSLR and there's just SO MANY.

After visiting many countries in Europe, this gate like structure is quite common. There's one here in Milan, one in London, one in Germany.. of course the sizes are different but from far away it looks similar.

And that night we had dinner at the same area again. It wasn't the same restaurant but it's like two streets filled with food. I can't remember the name but it's near the river canal? It's on the lower left of the map. Haha!!

We actually spent 4 days in Milan but I don't remember why I didn't take more pictures. Hmm. I think we went to the factory outlet on one day, I didn't take pictures because it was just shops. I'd recommending getting the coach to get to the factory outlet. I think it's an hour and a half coach ride away? They pick you up at like 9am or 10am and you return to Milan at like 7. So you have the afternoon to shop! There was Moschino, Prada, L'occitane, and I can't really remember. Reebok, Adidas.. etc. I should've bought sneakers there because they were soo cheap!!

Like for 70 sing you could buy a pair of Nike or Adidas shoes. And some weren't very ugly!!

Woke up about 9 ish, we were greeted by a beautiful view!

I wanted to sit on this but there was nobody manning the booth. Yes it said that they were open. Sheesh.

Like I said, not very clean!

We also sat by the lake, contemplating about life for a while (in the shade of course).

Back to Como!

The lake didn't look very clean btw. Haha. But it has AMAZING weather. SUN + WIND.

We were just walking around aimlessly, enjoying the view (and the cars).

The sun sets really quickly, like within a minute or something it becomes pitch dark!

They played and sang some english songs too! Like hotel california. So we sang along. Not many italians sang along though.

We went back to our hotel room to play Monopoly Deal until we were too tired. Haha.

Back to my May-June Europe Graduation Trip blogging!

Left off at Murano (check tags for : europe trip) to read the rest!

After Murano we went to.. Lake Como! To get there though.. Was hell.

You see, the employees of the train stations often go on strike... and only reveal the 'insider information' the night before. And being tourists, we didn't even know about it.

Let me tell you what happened. We left our hotel early in the morning so that we could reach the train platform early in order to not miss the train. And so that we didn't need to rush.

We ended up reaching 1hour earlier. And we noticed that, even though the board on the platform said eg 10am to XX location, when 10am came and past, the train DID NOT COME.

Warning signs already. And the train traffic was very very little. Signs that we were starting to piece together. But we thought that, being a regional train from Venice to Milan (we have to change at Milan to get to Como), the train would still be in service right?

Wrong.

The timing for the train to come came and went. SOMANY PEOPLE were at the train platform, and there was ONE train conductor who walked past, so I 'grabbed' him (everyone was surrounding him) and asked him where the train was.

"No train. Strike."

Friends and I went, WTF? We HAD to get to como TODAY because we already had a hotel reservation there, and we didn't have one in venice. Plus we kinda explored a lot of venice (3-4 days there!) SO WE WANTED COMO.

Here's what to do when you realize that there is a strike in Italy. (train strike I mean)

1. Go queue up at the ticketing desk to ask if there are ANY trains going out of the place and going to wherever you want to go, and change the reservation of your seat to that train. If there is no train going to your destination, you're screwed but you get your money back.

We queued for 2 hours.

2. Some people suggest taking the buses but no WAY were we travelling from north east to north west of Italy by BUS. It would take forever! But if your location isn't that far away, ask the information counter about buses.

3. Might want to rent a car and just drive yourself.

----

That's it! THANK GOD we had ONE train going to Milan (because it's MILAN) but it was like at 2pm or something. So technically we would only reach Como near 5? We were supposed to reach at 1pm, which would give us ample time to walk around and explore.

But well, going to Como was better than staying in Venice!

ANYWAY, after we reached the train station at Como, to get towards the lake is quite a far distance. 20 mins walk? And we had to drag our luggages etc. There was a flight of 40 stairs or something but we decided to walk one big round just to go down the slope.

Finally reached our hotel and the view was magnificant! We were JUST NEXT TO THE LAKE! Plus, it looked like bands were doing mike tests on a stage that was set up! WE WERE IN LUCK! There was going to be a gig that night.

Walked around for a bit and decided to find dinner. This was like at six pm ish btw!

Gross things. Hate pigeons.

Dinner Table Etiquette! Part 2.

Dinner Table Etiquette - the 10 Don'ts! (taken from here)

1. NEVER start eating before a signal from the host to do so.

2. Forks should not be turned over unless being used for eating peas, sweetcorn kernels, rice or other similar foods. In which case, it should be transferred to the right hand. However, at a casual buffet, or barbecue it is quite acceptable to eat with just a fork.

3. It is not generally regarded as good dinner table etiquette to use one's bread for dipping into soups or mopping up sauces.

4. Loud eating noises such as slurping and burping are very impolite. The number one sin of dinner table etiquette!

5. Talking with one's mouth full. is not only unpleasant to watch, but could also lead to choking! Definitely not a good idea!

6. Don't stretch across the table crossing other guests to reach food, wine or condiments. Instead ask a guest sitting close to pass the item to you.

7. Good dinner table etiquette sometimes involves a degree of diplomacy when it comes to the host's choice of food and wine! Even if you feel that you can do better, don't ever offer your criticism. If you feel unable to pay any compliments, at least remain silent on the subject.

8. Picking teeth (unless toothpicks are provided) or licking fingers are very unattractive! The only exception to the latter is when eating meat or poultry on the bone (such as chicken legs or ribs). In which case, a finger bowl should be provided.

9. Drinking too much wine can be very embarrassing! Where a different wine is served with each course, it is quite acceptable to not finish each glass.

10. Don't forget to make polite conversation with those guests around you. Dinner parties are not just about the food, they are intended to be a sociable occasion!

Dinner Table Etiquette - the 10 Do's! (taken from here)

1. Once seated, unfold your napkin and use it for occasionally wiping your lips or fingers. At the end of dinner, leave the napkin tidily on the place setting.

2. It is good dinner table etiquette to serve the lady sitting to the right of the host first, then the other ladies in a clockwise direction, and lastly the gentlemen.

3. Hold the knife and fork with the handles in the palm of the hand, forefinger on top, and thumb underneath.

4. Whilst eating, you may if you wish rest the knife and fork on either side of the plate between mouthfuls. When you have finished eating, place them side by side in the center of the plate.

5. If the food presented to you is not to your liking, it is polite to at least make some attempt to eat a small amount of it. Or at the very least, cut it up a little, and move it around the plate!

6. It is quite acceptable to leave some food to one side of your plate if you feel as though you have eaten enough. On the other hand, don't attempt to leave your plate so clean that it looks as though you haven't eaten in days!

7. Desserts may be eaten with both a spoon and fork, or alternatively a fork alone if it is a cake or pastry style sweet.

8. Should a lady wish to be excused for the bathroom, it is polite for the gentlemen to stand up as she leaves the table, sit down again, and then stand once more when she returns.

9. Always make a point of thanking the host and hostess for their hospitality before leaving.

10. It is good dinner table etiquette to send a personal thank you note to the host and hostess shortly afterwards.

These actions are what maid cafes in Japan do to their customers while saying "MOE MOE KYUUU!" So Moee is to the left, the second moee to the right, and kyuu is in front. Get it? Try it for yourself! Hahaha. Now practice saying it in a cute voice!

Primers!

Yesterday was soo tiring.

I've been having several insomniac nights. Had to take runny nose drowsy medicine just to get sleep. That's how intense it is. I only get sleepy around 3am but then toss and turn until 4am before I can sleep.

Perhaps there's too much things on my mind, too much to worry about. Now that I'm a graduate, what's the next thing of my life to be? What's the next chapter? New interests? New personalities?

But I keep wanting to learn new things that interest me. Time, and money. Urgh.

Anyway, share with you guys something. Do you know what the primers in your life are? For example, things that you see or you encounter that automatically affects your mood.

Like, whenever I see someone spitting phlegm on the road I get annoyed. Or like if I see people talking loudly on the train. You must be aware of these things and not let them affect what you do NEXT.

If I spoke to my mum after I saw these annoyed things, I unconsciously will be ruder to her or express my annoyance.

The trick is to recognize these things that make you annoyed and disengage them from your future actions! Take a deep breath before you do something next.

We all wear different 'hats'. I'm the student, colleague, friend, daughter, gf, niece, cousin etc. We just need to know when to wear the right hats and not wear them to the wrong occasion!

There are also primers that affect your subconscious! Like if a shop in a shopping mall plays faster paced music, it makes your heart beat faster and makes you feel like either.. running away or fighting. By fighting meaning, spending money.

There are also primers associated with colour, environment etc. Just have to be more aware of them yes? :) Be less impulsive!
